| Summary: | Commission to Master Robert de Beverl' [Beverley] and Richard de Otryngham [Ottringham], canons of Beverley Minster, and Master Ralph Waleys, precentor of the same church, to admit and install John de Blebury [Blewbury], king's clerk, into the prebend at the altar of St Peter in the Minster, vacant and at the king's gift during the vacancy of the see of York, pursuant to three writs of King Edward III (recited): (1) dated at Westminster, 8 March 1360, and witnessed by Thomas [of Woodstock], the king's son, keeper of England; (2) dated at Westminster, and witnessed by R. de Thorp, mandating the admission following the king's recovery of the right of presentation in his court against John de Chastrefeld [Chesterfield], clerk; and (3) dated at Beverley, 16 March 1360, and witnessed by W. [William] de Skipwith, mandating the admission following the king's recovery of the right of presentation before William de Skipwith at Beverley on 16 March 1360 against Archbishop Thoresby. |
