Summary: Dispensation for bastardy (defect of birth) for John de Lekynfeld [Leconfield], clerk, according to a commission from Francis [Francesco Carbone], cardinal priest of S Susanna, papal penitentiary (recited) dated at St Peter's, Rome, 29 January 1399, to proceed to all holy orders not yet obtained, despite having concealed bastardy when obtaining the first tonsure and order of acolyte.
