Summary: Inspeximus of letters patent (recited), dated at Dover, 11 August 1311, containing a grant of special power to Master Robert de Pykering [Pickering], canon of York, for the conferral of benefices in the archbishop's collation while the archbishop was out of the country, called to the Council of Vienne (witnesses named); with a notarial subscription by Henry Willelmi de Erdeslawe [Ardsley], clerk of York diocese, notary public, present at the hospital of St Mary, Dover.
Note:
The marginal heading shows that power was granted to Master Robert for conferral of benefices which Richard de Hennay (or Henney or Henneye) had.
