| Summary: | Letter of the archbishop as papal judge-delegate; the bishop of Hereford and Rigaud de Asserio, bishop elect of Winchester, to Master John de Nassington, official of the archdeacon of Nottingham and rector of Screveton (Kyrketon), with a papal bull (Avignon, 23 January 1320, recited) ordering the citation of the prior of Lenton to appear before the pope within three months on charges by Bertrand du Pouget (1280-1352), Cardinal priest of S Marcello (1316-1327; bishop of Ostia, 1327-) that he had refused to accept the Cardinal's proctor as incumbent of Ratcliffe on Soar; the official and rector to report to the archbishop. |
