| Summary: | Inhibition to Master William de Honyton [Honiton], advocate of the court of Canterbury and, as he asserts, the archbishop's commissary, from intermeddling or attempting anything further in the cause that is being pleaded between Ralph de Brantyngham [Brantingham], canon of the royal free chapel of St Martin le Grand, London, and Thomas de London, Thomas de Walmesford [Wansford], Peter de Wotton and John de Harrewell [Hertwelle], also canons there who claim to be plaintiffs in a cause relating to an annual pension being appealed by Ralph, in which Master William, as dean of the chapel, has brought Ralph to appear to hear final sentence, although the archbishop as chancellor has authority in such business; with citation to appear, and cause the canons to appear, in the chapel of the archbishop's manor by Westminster on the next law day after St Gregory [11 March], to process the cause and for the parties to receive justice. |
