Summary: Acquittance (receipt) from Gasbert [de Valle], archbishop of Arles (Arelatensis), papal chamberlain, for the archbishop for 150 marks (600 florins at four florins to the mark), received from the archbishop by the hands of Master Bernard Vinentis, canon of St Emilion (Sancti Emiliani), Bordeaux (Burdegalensis) diocese, and Master Richard de Thormerton, archbishop's proctors for the triennial visit to the Roman Curia, in part payment of 300 marks owed for the visit.
Note:
An undated memorandum in the margin at Reg 9A, f. 36r, entry 7 shows that all the acquittances in Reg 9A, f. 36r, entries 1-7 were sent to R [Richard] de Grimeston [Grimston], archbishop's receiver at York, to be kept in the treasury at York.
