Summary: Appointment of Thomas de Steyngrave [Stonegrave], clerk of the archbishop's household, to act as the archbishop's attorney in notifying the bishop of Worcester of the archbishop's appeal against prohibitions from the archbishop of Canterbury to him bearing his cross erect before him; with four notarial instruments (undated, but perhaps created before 1 July 1315, no place of dating recorded) to the bishop concerning those appeals, two from the archbishop and two from the archbishop's supporters (named; details given) and a further notarial instrument containing the monition (recited) of the archbishop to the bishop of Worcester, by Steyngrave as the archbishop's proctor, not to enter the archbishop's jurisdiction of Churchdown, witnessed by John de Hale, notary public (six entries).
