| Summary: | Mandate, following receipt of papal letters, to the dean of Doncaster for the citation of John de Sandale [Sandal] to appear before the pope within three months, to defend his right to the archdeaconry of Richmond. The dean was to visit Sandale at his house at Wheatley (Whetelawe) with three or four chaplains, and if Sandale was not present, they were to place the citation on the high altar of the church. |
