| Summary: | Notification by the king of the receipt of £200 from the archbishop, in the name of Pope John XXII, as a loan of part of the monies collected by the abbot and convent of St Mary's, York for the first year of the six papal tenths imposed in 1312, to be repaid to the pope within five years, by the hands of Roger Ardingell (or Dardingel) and his associates, merchants of the Society of the Bardi of Florence, as part payment of the king's debts to those merchants (vacated entry). |
