Summary: Mandate of Robert de Pickering [canon of York and vicar-general] to Brother Robert de Sheffield (Shefeld), Knight Templar, who had been sent to Kirkstall Abbey, but had left the monastery and was suspected of being a recidivist in heresy and who had used insulting words towards the abbot and convent both before and after leaving, ordering him to behave well towards them on pain of excommunication.
