Summary: Mandate to the dean of Newark, pursuant to the complaint of John de Levenyng [Leavening], priest, that he has been defamed of stealing the goods of Hugh de Appelby [Appleby], rector of Weston, and of carrying them away and consuming them, to denounce in the church of Weston all who had defamed him and had been excommunicated; with further mandate to inquire into the names of those malefactors and to cite them to appear before the official of York or his commissary in the Minster; and order to certify the official of his actions by letters patent.
