| Summary: | Mandate to Master Robert de Beverlaco [Beverley] to proceed without partiality and as law and custom demands in the appeal of David de Wolloure [Wooler], rector of Hornsea (Hornese), who, despite not being subject to the chapter of Beverley Minster, has had a sentence of excommunication imposed upon him and his church by them, for which reason David appealed to the papal Curia and for tuition at the court of York, even though Master Robert is a canon of Beverley and this business concerns him. Should he not wish to act in this business he is to certify with all speed as the archbishop wishes justice to be done to David. |
