Summary: Royal writ ordering the archbishop to ensure that Master Martin [de Grimston], parson of Skerne (Skyren, Skyrne), executor of the will of Thomas de Grymeston [Grimston], appears before the justices at Westminster at Easter five weeks, to answer Nicholas Wygan [Wigan] and his wife Matilda on a plea of debt of 22 marks. The sheriff informed the justices at the quindene of Martinmas last that Martin is a clerk, and has no lay fee to attach. Witnessed by Ralph de Hengham. Response noting that this was done.
