| Summary: | Commission to the prior of Worksop to examine, approve and receive the cession of Alice de Sheffeld [Sheffield], prioress of Wallingwells (Welandwelles), who, her fellow nuns have petitioned, is old and suffering from bodily infirmity to the point where she can no longer attend to the rule of the priory, and the writing under the seal of the dean of Retford concerning which the archbishop deems worthy to admit, and to discuss the election of her successor, admitting a suitable person to the rule as shall be canonically elected, seeking and receiving her obedience and causing her to be installed and inducted; with further order to certify his actions by letters patent. |
