Summary: Mandate of Robert de Pykering [Pickering], canon of York, vicar general, to the official of the court of York or his commissary general, following receipt of an order of King Edward II (recited), dated at Berwick upon Tweed, 1 July 1311, to the archbishop for the admission and induction of George Salveyn [Salvayn], king's clerk, to the prebend of Newthorpe, vacant and in the gift of the king by reason of the former vacancy of the see, for a citation to Walter de Bedewynd [Bedwyn], treasurer of York, claiming Newthorpe as a portion of the office of treasurer, to appear to answer to George, who could not be admitted, as there had been no canonical amoval of Walter.
