Summary: Commission to the dean of York and the archbishop's official of York, to act in the ex officio matter brought against John son of Brantus de Sarracenis (or Brantus Sarracenis) [John Branti Saracenis], canon and prebendary of Thorp in Ripon Minster, the archbishop having discovered in his visitation that John was occupying the canonry and prebend by false letters; was not a clerk, but was said to be married. He was to appear before the archbishop or his commissaries on 15 January next in York Minster to answer on these matters and other articles.
