Summary: Certification by John Barnet, canon of York, of receipt and confirmation of a commission of the archbishop (recited), dated at the archbishop's manor of Scrooby, 16 March 1403, to expedite an exchange of benefices proposed between Master William Gyloth (or Giloth), perpetual vicar of the parish church of Lydd, Canterbury diocese, and John de Oxeford [Oxford], rector of the parish church of Harthill, noting the resignation of Oxeford by John Elys [Ellis], his proctor, contained in a notarial instrument attested by Master John Combe, clerk, of the city of London, notary public, and institution of Gyloth to Harthill, patron: prior and convent of Lewes; with an order, dated at Scrooby, 2 April 1403, to the official of the archdeacon of York for the induction of Gyloth to Harthill (two entries).
