Summary: Mandate to the official of the court of York to issue a monition to the chapter of Beverley Minster that, under pain of distraint, they will submit to his arbitration within a short time in the business of Richard de Meaux, their fellow canon and prebendary of St Katherine there, who has been dispensed by Archbishop Thoresby and his predecessors for non residence and that he, through his proctor, might collect the oblations issuing at the high altar, a moiety of which falls to him because of his prebend, to be kept in a locked chest until they are distributed, but certain officials impede him in collecting the oblations and will not refrain from molesting him because of his non-residency; and to cause and permit him to enjoy the oblations without impediment, compelling all who do not appear by ecclesiastical censure.
