Summary: Indenture made between Archbishop Thoresby and John de Topclif [Topcliffe] of Ripon, by which Thoresby granted for his life to Topcliffe, his heirs and assigns the site of his manor of Whitcliffe (Whyteclif iuxta Rypon) with all appurtenances in Mackershaw (Makershawe), Deep Gills (Depegill) and Aldewyk for an annual rent of £10 13s. 4d.
