| Summary: | Exemplification of a papal bull of Pope Clement V, dated at Avignon, 29 March 1317, concerning the loan conceded to the King for the first year of the six papal tenths imposed by the pope at the Council of Vienne in 1312 (copy); attested by notarial subscriptions of Hugh Hugonis of Tunstall, called of Bishopstone (Bissopstone), clerk of Coventry and Lichfield diocese, notary public, and Gilbert Johannis called Hamergold of Sedgeford (Secheford), Norwich diocese, notary public (witnesses named); sealed by John [Sandale], bishop of Winchester, at Southwark. |
