| Summary: | Rescript to the archdeacon of Nottingham, the dean of Bingham and John de Burton, chaplain, concerning the appeal and complaint by Master John de Walton, rector of Normanton on Soar, that he had been disturbed in his peaceful possession of his church by John called Raven, clerk of Lincoln diocese, who pretended to have been presented by the true patrons, commissioning them to inhibit John Raven from attempting anything to Master John's prejudice with the appeal pending, and to cite him to appear before the archbishop or his commissaries in York Minster on the next law day after Corpus Christi [23 May] ready to receive justice in this appeal; with order to certify their actions by letters patent. |
