| Summary: | Mandate to the dean and chapter of York for sequestration of the fruits and profits of the prebend of Warthill in York Minster, following the excommunication of John de Merkyngfeld [Markenfield], canon and prebendary of Warthill, executor of the testament (will) of William de Hamelton [Hambleton], deceased, at the instance of the abbot and convent of Bardney wot hom the church of Hunmanby was appropriated; with a similar mandate to the chapter of Ripon concerning the prebend of Studley in Ripon Minster, of which John de Merkyngfeld [Markenfield] was canon and prebendary (two entries). |
