| Summary: | Certification to the archbishop from Thomas [de Kirkcudbright], bishop of Galloway [Whithorn; Candida Casa], that, following receipt of the archbishop's mandate [to send out citations to various heads of religious houses and higher clergy in his diocese to attend a council to be held in York Minster on 24 May 1311 for a trial of the order of Knights Templar, as previously] dated 24 February 1311, he had ordered execution of the mandate, but had no knowledge of the result. |
