Summary: Letter to the archdeacon of York to carry out a royal commission (Westminster, 2 June 1320, recited) to collect taxation monies to be assessed on the ecclesiastical possessions of Hospitallers towards the royal tenth, since not exempted by the pope (probably the papal tenth from Canterbury province of 1319). With a note of similar commissions to the dean and chapter of York; the official of the archdeacon of Nottingham and the rector of Edgmanton; the official of the archdeacon of York and the rector of a moiety of the church of Rotherham; the prior of Easby; sequestrators of the archdeaconry of the East Riding and provostship of Beverley; dean of Cleveland; keeper of spiritualities and vicar of Felixkirk; rector of North Cave and Vicar of Eastrington and the prior of Drax for the archdeaconries of Nottingham, York, Richmond, the East Riding, deanery of Cleveland, Allertonshire, Howdenshire and Snaith respectively.
