| Summary: | Royal writ ordering the archbishop to levy certain sums, and to pay them to the abbot of St Mary, York, namely: 20s from the parson of Catton and 113s 4d from the parson of Adlingfleet (Athelingflete), as previously informed; 30s from the vicar of Acklam (Acclum); £6 from the prebendary of Weighton (Wyhgton); £8 from the prebendary of Bickhill with Knaresborough (Buchill cum Knaresburgh); £8 16s 8d from the sacrist of St Peter's, York; 73s 4d from the goods formerly of Thomas de Birlaunde in the church of Brantingham (Brantyngham); 60s from the church of Crayke (Creyk); £32 from the prebendary of South Cave (Cave). Order to the abbot of St Mary's to use the money for the king's business, and to account at the Exchequer on the morrow of Ascension. Witnessed by William de Carleton [Carlton]. Response noting which sums were paid, and which could not be collected. |
