Summary: Certification by the archbishop to King Edward II, following receipt at Cawood (Cawode) on 29 December 1310, of royal letters (recited), dated at Berwick upon Tweed (Berewycum super Twedam), 15 December 1310, concerning the prebend of North Newbald in York Minster, of having inspected the archbishop's registers. The notification of John [le Romeyn], the archbishop's predecessor, of the admission of Pandulph de Sabello [Sabelli] to a prebend in York Minster, on papal provision, was discovered, together with a mandate to the dean and chapter (recited), dated at Wilton (Wylton), 3 February 1287. The mandate was issued following receipt of letters of Master Geoffrey [Giffredus) de Vezano, clerk of the papal chamber and canon of Cambrai [Cameracensis], and Master John de Luco, canon of London, papal executors, with the bishop of Spoleto (Spoletanus).
