| Summary: | Ordinance of Archbishop Walter [de Gray], for his grant to the dean and chapter of York Minster of his dwelling house and its appurtenances in the vill of Bishopthorpe (Thorp' sancti Andree) together with other specified lands, rents and appurtenances there, and other lands: those pertaining to the prebend of Bickhill (Bichill); in the suburbs of York by Micklegate Bar; in Beverley; in Skidby (Schiteby); with the provision that the dean and chapter will pay twenty marks annually at Martinmas to the treasurer of York Minster, which the treasurer is to distribute in alms (witnesses named). |
