| Summary: | Notification to the dean of Bulmer that the churchyard of Bulmer had not been polluted by bloodshed following violence, but from a nosebleed suffered by Thomas, the shepherd of Walter Lewe, caused by a blow from the arm of Brother Walter de Horsley, canon of Brinkburn (Wynkeburn [sic]), occurring when they were playing a game (details given). |

The reference to 'Wynkeburn' is presumably a scribal error, as no house of that name is known. Brinkburn in Northumberland seems the most likely identification, and was home to Augustinian canons, but the identification is uncertain.
