Summary: Writ of Edward II ordering the archbishop to collect arrears of the clerical fifth granted to Edward I in the 25th and 26th years of his reign (1297) owed by Walter de Maydenstan [Maidstone] and Master John de Nassington from their moieties of the church of Kendal (Kirkeby in Kendale), held by them at that time, as found in the accounts of the abbot of Jervaulx, collector in the archdeaconry of Richmond, and not from the abbot and convent of York, St Mary, who held the moieties at the time of issue of the writ.
