Summary: Notification by the king of receipt of £38 from the archbishop in the name of the pope by the hands of the abbot of York, St Mary's Abbey, for the first year of the six papal tenths imposed in 1312, as a loan from the pope.
Note:
The document appears to be an acknowledgement of receipt, but is stated to be a bond (obligatio), presumably because the money was intended to be repaid to the pope.
