| Summary: | Letter to the chapter of Southwell, the archbishop having inspected the rolls of his visitation of the chapter and the acts concerning corrections made afterwards, he noted that on 8 May 1308, Master Simon de Curte maior [Courmayeur], canon of Southwell, stated that the houses of Kirtlington and their repair were the responsibility of the chapter. The houses were greatly in need of repair, to be carried out within the coming year, and the chapter was ordered to pay the 100s to the archbishop as alms, that had been ordered on pain of not having done so. |
