| Summary: | Commission to the commissary general of the archbishop's official and the auditor of the chapter of York for a citation to Francis Gaytani [Francesco Caetani], to appear to show why Walter de Bedewynde [Bedwyn], clerk, should not be admitted to the office of treasurer in York Minster, as he had been collated to it by royal writ of King Edward I (recited), dated at Lanercost, 1 November 1306, during a vacancy of the see. Also recited is another writ of King Edward I, dated at Lanercost, 22 November 1306, summoning the archbishop to Parliament at Carlisle on 20 January 1306, and ordering the installation of Bedwyn. |
