| Summary: | Mandate to Master Alan de Seterington [Settrington], archbishop’s proctor in the Roman Curia, to support the dean and chapter of York in their cause against the cardinal of Auxerre (Altissiodorensis) [Pierre de Mortemart, cardinal priest of S. Stefano al Monte Celio], in consultation with Master William de Northwico [Norwich] and others at the Roman Curia; Master William de la Mare, the archbishop's kinsman, will inform him of the money to be paid to the cardinal as compensation if a settlement is made out of court. |
