| Summary: | Licence for John de Chasterfeld [Chesterfield], rector of Foston on the Wolds, priest, for non residence for two years at the request of Sir William de [la] Pole, knight, while in the service of the said Sir William, and that he need not appear in synods in the meantime save by proctor, provided that his church is not defrauded and cure of souls not neglected, it is demised to a suitable proctor who will answer the ordinary, and that he will cause alms to the poor to be increased in compensation for his absence. |
