Summary: Commission to the archbishop from Francis [Francesco Carbone or Carboni], cardinal priest of S Susanna, papal penitentiary, to inquire into the case of Thomas Dauncell of Pocklington, scholar, who wished to receive holy orders and a benefice notwithstanding bastardy, with a note that if the archbishop sees fit, he might grant a dispensation, and dispensation for bastardy (defect of birth) for Thomas Dauncell, clerk, to proceed to all holy orders (two entries).
