Summary: Acquittance (receipt) by the king for monies received by the hands of the abbot of Selby and delivered to John de Ryther in part payment of a bond in £386 13s 4d owed to him for custody of Skipton Castle, as shown by letters sealed by Roger de Northburgh, keeper of the wardrobe.
Note:
The document appears to be an acknowledgement of receipt, but is stated to be a bond (obligatio), presumably because the money was intended to be repaid to the pope.
