| Summary: | Ordination of the vicarage of Huntington (Hunt', Huntyngton'), appropriated to the vicars choral of York Minster with the consent of John de Cotyngh' (or Cotyngham) [Cottingham], formerly rector, for whom an annual pension of £10 and a post mortem obit is established; with letters patent, dated in York, 1 May 1354, of Elias de Walkynton [Walkington], keeper of the house of vicars choral, and all of the vicars, appointing Master William de Feriby [Ferriby], canon of the Minster, as their proctor to submit to archiepiscopal judgement in this matter, and to do everything necessary; with order to the official of the court of York for the induction of the vicars following the free resignation of the rector (witnesses named). |
