| Summary: | Order to the archbishop's receiver at York that, having received a bond in 6 marks and 18d payable to the archbishop at Michaelmas next from the abbot and convent of Rievaulx, he should make himself chargeable for that sum to the monk of St Mary's abbey, York, acting as collector of the tenth granted to the king [presumably the three clerical tenths granted in November 1337], for which he shall receive allowance in his account. |
