| Summary: | Letters close to the dean of Doncaster containing notification of the absolution of Walter de Harum [Harome] from a sentence of greater excommunication pronounced upon him by Thomas [Corbridge], formerly archbishop of York, the archbishop's predecessor, at the instance of Master Thomas [de Malton], rector of Kippax (Kipass), in which Master Henry de Wilton, commissary general of the official of York, and Adam de Hedon [Headon], holding a parsonage in the church of York, were commissaries to proceed, and ordering the dean to publish the absolution in the deanery of Doncaster. |
