| Summary: | Commission to Master Thomas de Bucton, canon of Wells and official of the court of York, and Master John de Burton, canon of Southwell Minster, chancellor, to hear and examine the causes of the dispute that has arisen to some scandal between the chapter of Beverley Minster and Richard de Meaux, canon and residentiary in the same church, concerning his residence and the oblations issuing from the high altar, and concerning their receipt, custody and distribution, and, having examined any registers and writings that relate to this matter in the archives, to treat, discuss and bring the parties to an amicable settlement. |
