Summary: Arbitration by the archbishop in a case between Master Nicholas de Mardefeld [Marefield], rector of St Crux, York, and the prior and brothers of the Carmelite friary in York, concerning the construction of an oratory that Master Alan de Setryngton [Settrington], formerly rector of St Crux, claimed was within the bounds of his church, and the celebration of divine service and the reception of offerings there, reciting agreements by the rector and the brothers to abide by this decision; with notarial subscription by John de Aldfeld, clerk of York diocese, notary public (witnesses named).
