Archdeaconry of York
|
| Summary: | Composition made between Adam de Middelton [Middleton], rector of Arncliffe (Arencliff] and the abbot and convent of Fountains concerning tithes within the parish of Arncliffe. |
| Note: |
There are two marginal notes in a 17th century hand; the first reads in translation: Fountains Abbey of the Cistercian order; the second is 'Arncliff'. There is also a short passage between the two final entries on this side of the folio with a mark to show that it should be inserted around two-thirds of the way down the text of the document, where a similar mark appears.
