| Summary: | Notification to Roger Swayn, canon of Ripon, and Nicholas de Bondegate [Bondgate], dean of Ripon, of the disobedience to the decree of Thomas [Corbridge], archbishop of York, the archbishop's predecessor, made following a visitation of the chapter of Ripon, that prebends of Ripon should be set at farm to no one other than to the canons without special licence of the archbishop or his successors, which has been done to the detriment of the prebendal buildings and other matters, with notification of the sequestration of the prebends. |
