Summary: Admission of Richard de Derby, clerk, to the office of archdeacon of Nottingham at the gift of King Edward III by reason of the late vacancy of the archbishopric by the death of William la Zouche, the king having of his royal right removed the then incumbent Master John de Brynkeleye [Brinkley]; with order to the dean and chapter of York Minster for his induction; and with order to the clergy of the archdeaconry to obey him in all things (three entries).
