| Summary: | Mandate to the chapter of Southwell for a citation to George de Ivory (or de Solario or de Solariis or de Iporegia) to appear to show why royal orders concerning the prebend of Rampton in Southwell Minster should not be carried out, following receipt by the archbishop of letters of King Edward II (recited), dated at York, 28 September 1314, ordering the provision of a stall in Southwell Minster to William de Bevercote, king's clerk, the prebend of Rampton being vacant and in the kings' gift by reason of a vacancy of the see being then in the hands of the late king; dated at Westminster, 14 February 1315, informing the archbishop that the king had recovered presentation to the prebend in the royal court against George; a writ to the sheriff of Nottingham (recited), dated at York, 20 September 1314, ordering him to appear at Westminster to answer in this matter, and a letter (recited), dated at Westminster 11 April 1315, notifying the archbishop of recovery of the presentation and ordering the admission of a suitable person. |
