Dispensation

Summary: Dispensation for irregularity for John de Rosington [Rossington], priest, for having been ordained on a false title, in response to letters from Berenger [Fredoli], bishop of Frascati (Tusculum) (recited).
Marginalia:
Note that because Rosington had been ordained by the bishops of Lincoln and Ely, and he swore that no sentence had been passed in their dioceses, the truth was first enquired upon on the contents of letters by the dean of Retford, in which deanery he originated.
