| Summary: | Certificate of John [Burghill], bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, following receipt of the archbishop's commission (recited), dated at the archbishop's castle of Cawood, 23 April 1405, for an exchange of prebends between Master Richard Conyngston [Coniston), doctor of laws, prebendary of a prebend in the collegiate church of Chester St John, formerly held by John Hall, and Nicholas Tydde, prebendary of a prebend in the chapel of York, St Mary and Holy Angels, formerly held by William Gysburn [Gisburn]. The bishop had collated Conyngston to the prebend by his proctor, Master William Newport. |
