| Summary: | Royal writ to the sheriff of Yorkshire ordering him to distrain William [Greenfield], archbishop of York, so that he has John Russell, his clerk, before the barons of the Exchequer at Westminster at the octave of St John the Baptist to render account to William de Pik' [Pickering] and his fellow executors of the will of Henry [Newark], formerly archbishop of York, for the time when he was his bailiff and receiver at Pocklington (Pokelington), Pickering (Pikering) and Kilham (Killum), in relation to debts owed to the king. Witnessed by William de Carleton. |
