Summary: Appropriation of the church of Bracewell (Braycewell) to the abbot and convent of Kirkstall (Kyrkestall), allowing them to take full possession on the resignation or death of Peter de Driffeld [Driffield], the present rector, and reciting a letter from the abbot and convent submitting to the archbishop's judgment on this matter; with notarial subscription by John de Aldefeld, clerk of York diocese, notary public (witnesses named).
Marginalia:
A marginal note in a later hand on fol. 18v draws attention to a pension of 10s. to be paid by the church to the archbishops of York. The capitals in the top line are enlarged and filled, and the initial capital is slightly ornamented with leaves.
