| Summary: | Acts for the confirmation of the election of Master William de Pykering [Pickering], archdeacon of Nottingham, as dean of York, the office being vacant by the death of Raymond del Gutto [Got], the previous dean and Cardinal deacon of Santa Maria Nuova (details given), including the citation to opposers, particularly to George de Saluciis [Saluzzo] and Master William de Prato, but no one appearing on the appointed date, the election of Master William was confirmed in Ripon Minster, and made his oath of obedience to the archbishop. |
